A national affiliation of organizations, which provides treatment,
educational, management and consultative services to people with
autism and related disorders across Canada.
The Autism Depot
Written by a parent for parents of autistic children; a website
of resources for parents.

A U.S.-based organization providing information, resources and
a networking opportunity for families and professionals. They
feature a free message board to post questions that can be answered
by experts.

The Ontario NDP party provides updates on their attempts to advocate
OHIP-covered IBI treatments for all children diagnosed with autism.

Funding in Ontario:
Kinark
Kinark is a non-profit children's mental health centre that offers
free programs and services to children, youth and their families
in 5 regions across the province of Ontario: York Region, Simcoe
County, Peterborough County, Northumberland County and Durham
Region.
Toronto Pre-School Autism Service
T.P.A.S. provides funding for a community based intensive behavioural
intervention program for children under the age of six who live
in Toronto and have a diagnosis of Autism or PDD-NOS.
Speech and Language Services:
Toronto Preschool Speech and Language Services
They provide free services for children from birth until they
enter Senior Kindergarten, in the City of Toronto. This organization
is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and hosts many events
geared towards parents/caregivers.
York Region Preschool Speech and Language Program
Servicing the York Region area, Beyond Words helps children from
birth to kindergarten with a focus on the prevention, early identification
and treatment of speech and language problems. It contains lots
of information, checklists and advice. All services are free for
families living in York Region.
The Hanen Center
The Hanen Centre, a Canadian charitable organization, helps young
children with or at risk for language delays communicate to the
best of their abilities. They provide leading-edge programs and
practical, user-friendly learning resources for parents, educators
and other important people in children's lives.
Expressive
Communication Help Organization (ECHO)
ECHO is a non-profit organization established by parents for parents/caregivers
of late-talking children diagnosed with or suspected of having
apraxia of speech or other oral motor speech disorders. They offer
resources, information, friendship and support to those whose
lives are touched by a late-talking child.
